Updated but still authentic Indian cuisine and by far the best in this area. Make a meal of the delicious appetizers or try the fantastic rogan josh or spicy tikka masala. Even desserts excel here and the wine list is very good, both unusual in Indian restaurants. The service is very knowledgeable and superb. The decor is elegant. The only negative is the noise level in the bar. But we'll definitely be back many times.

The daal is excellent. The eggplant masala is good but a tad spicy. The chicken tikka masala is great. Good wine list, nice bar, and the samosas with spicy peas appetizer was quite good. The plates and presentation were lovely. RIGHT off the Powell Street Muni stop!

Sometimes you just can't stand the thought of one more sandwich/burger for lunch. New Delhi to the rescue! I came here with a co-worker and we were both very pleased with our meals. The service was attentive, but not overbearing and we were out of the door in a timely manner. Whoever mentioned coming back for dinner was spot on - some of their cocktails look amazing.

New Delhi is a phenomenal restaurant- one of my favorite dining destinations in SF. Their mango prawns are incredible and a must-have. It is one of those dishes that you will have cravings for. The food is visually stunning and service is great. The servers are particularly helpful and they have a great selection of wines to compliment their menu.

Lunchtime here is kind of quiet, which is nice. I went with a friend and my trusty coupon and we were treated like the staff had shown up just for us. Once you're inside and past the bar, the city just melts away and you can concentrate on your friends and all that wonderful food. I need to come back for dinner when I have more time.
